Dr Lucy Lim

Biography

Dr Lucy Lim is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with public appointments at both Austin Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital. She consults broadly in all fields of Gastroenterology, including functional gut disorders, bowel cancer screening, endoscopy (gastroscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy), gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, iron deficiency anaemia, coeliac disease, with special interests in liver disease and viral hepatitis.

Dr Lim graduated in Medicine from Monash University with Honours in 2003 and undertook Gastroenterology training at St Vincent’s and The Austin Hospital. In 2010 she attained her Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr Lim completed a PhD in Hepatitis B through The University of Melbourne with a GESA scholarship and furthered her training by undertaking a Hepatology Fellowship through the University Health Network in Toronto.

Dr Lim is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia, Australian Medical Association and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. She actively participates in continuing professional development activities including international conferences and training and has published widely in numerous journals.

Dr Lim is dedicated to providing high quality gastroenterological care with open communication, compassion and sensitivity to individual patient needs. She speaks fluent Mandarin and basic Cantonese. Lucy would be pleased to discuss patients with GPs or other specialists and will accommodate urgent referrals.
