Dr Kenneth Xie is a Consultant Nephrologist. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne and undertook specialist training in nephrology across several leading tertiary hospitals in Melbourne.
Ken currently holds a public appointment with Bayside Health, where he works as a Transplant
Nephrologist at Alfred Health and serves as the Regional Dialysis Lead across Bass Coast Health. He
is also completing a PhD through Monash University, with research focused on the impact of obesity
on kidney disease and kidney transplantation.
Ken takes a practical, patient-centred, and thorough approach to care. He takes the time to listen to
his patients, explain test results clearly, and develop individualised treatment plans. He also works
closely with each patient’s general practitioner to ensure care is well coordinated.
Ken welcomes referrals for a broad range of kidney conditions, including hypertension, chronic kidney
disease, blood or protein in the urine, dialysis care, and kidney transplantation.
Ken is fluent in English and Mandarin.
