Dr Liam Tjia is a general paediatrician, with extensive experience in all areas of
outpatient paediatric practice, including developmental paediatrics. He completed his
specialist training at Monash Children’s Hospital, in 2005.
His approach is engaging and not rushed. He endeavours to genuinely collaborate
with other clinicians involved in a child and family’s care.
Liam was conferred a PhD in 2015, in the forensic / medicolegal field. He has
previously worked in the busy paediatric emergency departments of Monash
Children’s Hospital, and the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.
He holds admitting rights to the acute paediatric ward at Epworth Richmond Hospital.
He began consulting regularly in Shepparton, after realising how underserved the
families in the region are for paediatric services.
In 2017, along with a colleage who shares his passion for exceptional care, Liam
founded the professional association ‘Developmental Clinicians Victoria’. In 2018 he

Liam is lucky to have three young daughters, who with his
