Dr Rabin Sinnappu

Biography

Dr. Rabin Sinnappu is an Australian trained Consultant Geriatrician. After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1997, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2004. He consults at Northern Health as a Geriatrician and General Physician. He is actively involved in the training and mentoring of junior doctors and medical students.

Dr. Sinnappu consults privately in Hawthorn East and Bundoora as well as caring for older patients undertaking rehabilitation at Brunswick Private Hospital.

Rabin’s main clinical area of interest is the assessment and treatment of dementia. His focus is in enabling older people to remain at home while managing their chronic medical conditions in conjunction with the General Practitioner. His other clinical interests include falls and balance, polypharmacy and delirium.

Rabin also visits Age Care Facilities to assist in the management of patients with dementia and behavioural problems related to dementia.
